David Armer, passed away unexpectedly on April 27th, 2021. He was 59.

David was born August 11th, 1961 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In the 7th grade David found his passion for photography. After graduating from

high school David hitch hiked to Glacier Park, where he fell in love with Montana.

After spending the summer and early fall David returned to Indiana.


He then enlisted in the Navy where he spent the next 8 years traveling, meeting

many friends, and perfecting his photography. After the Navy, David returned to

Montana taking photos every chance he got.


David meet the love of his life Alexis Kelly through mutual friends. David and Kelly

married May 10th, 2000. They were married for 21 years.

Preceding David in death are his parents Robert & Patricia Armer and step

daughter Nicole Waller.


David is survived by his wife Alexis Kelly Armer, sister Karen Ray, step daughter

Carmen (Shiloh) Keibler, grandchildren Dauglas Scheeler, Shalynn Keibler, Cassidy

Keibler, Ashlynd Johnson, Auston Waller and Richard Waller. Great grandchildren

Huntleigh Wilcox. And so many very special friends.


As David used to say, Alrighty gang, see you later love you bye!

Meeting Minutes and next meeting 4.11.2024

Our next meeting will be April 11, 2024, the 2nd Thursday of each month, at the Whitefish Library at 6 PM.   We had a nice meeting last month.  You can see some of the images below. Marguerite showed some images from the Ski Joring practice.  I showed a few images over Glacier and some from Oldtime images from Somers Dee showed some images from some of the winter activities that she likes to do.  Ice skating, walking and skiing in the snow! Gary brought in some photos from Antelope Canyon and Arizona at Rex and Ginna's place.

Meeting minutes and next meeting 6.13.2024 6PM at Whitefish Community Library

The May meeting was on the first sunny day after a rainy spell, we had 2 new people, and everybody was bubbly.  We had Gary, Frank, Nelson, Sidney, Mitch who was new last time, and 2 new people Omar and Louie.  Next meeting is 6.13.2024 6PM at Whitefish Community Library Dee documented the end of winter and eruption of spring close to home. Frank traveled a little farther to photograph the sculpture at the entrance to the Blackfeet Reservation and a historic inn in Ferndale -- no, not that Ferndale, but the one in California. Mitch also went to California to experience this ethereal sinuous road and a bird highlighting the bloom in Indian Wells. Sidney compared his color images with B&W renditions, including a great blue heron and Mammoth Hot Springs in winter.  Campus protests are in the news again, as they were when Sidney photographed this one about Vietnam.
